Sally'S French Toast Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread, unsliced
    1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz., cubed)
    8 eggs
    1/2 c. half and half
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. maple syrup
Preparation
    Cut French bread into cubes (about 12 cups).
    Grease a 3-quart rectangular baking pan.
    Place half of the bread cubes in the dish.
    Top with cream cheese cubes and remaining bread cubes.
