Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    6 eggs, separated
    3 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. sour cream (8 oz.)
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff; sift soda, flour and baking powder.
    Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly.
    Then add egg yolks, one at a time, and the vanilla.
    Turn mixer down to low speed and add the flour alternately with sour cream; fold in egg whites; pour into tube pan.
    Bake 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Test with broomstraw.
