Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. beef chuck round
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp. ground
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. green pepper, cut into 1-inch lengthwise slices
1 c. red pepper, cut into 1-inch lengthwise slices
1 bunch green onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced thin
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
Preparation

Cut beef across grain into thin strips 1/8-inch thick. Combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger.
Add beef; toss and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in large frying pan or wok. Add beef and toss over high heat until browned.
Turn heat up and add vegetables until tender-crisp (about 10 minutes).
Mix cornstarch with water; pour over beef and vegetables and cook until thickened.
Add tomatoes and heat thoroughly.
Serve with your favorite rice.
