Manhattan (4Th Of July) Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. diced bacon
1/4 c. minced onion
2 c. diced potatoes
1/3 c. diced celery
2 cans chopped clams (6 1/2 oz. each), drained and reserve juice
1 can diced tomatoes (1 pt.)
1 c. water
2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

In large saucepan, cook and stir bacon and onions until bacon is crisp and onions tender.
Stir in reserved clam juice, potatoes, celery and water.
Cook, uncovered, until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
Add clams, tomatoes and seasonings. Reheat to boiling.
Serves 6.
