Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1/2 tsp. sweet basil
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 medium size cabbage, shredded
Preparation
    Brown beef with onion and garlic.
    Chop tomatoes coarsely and add to remaining ingredients. Simmer on top of range for 1 hour or in slow cooker for 2 1/2 hours on medium.
    (Much better than Shoney's.)
