Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. potatoes, peeled and cubed
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can ready to serve chicken broth
    1 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. margarine
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    instant potato flakes
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until well done.
    Add milk and next 4 ingredients.
    Gradually add enough instant potato flakes to make soup as thick as you like.
    Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
    Garnish with thyme sprigs if desired.
    Yields 3 1/2 cups.
