Creole Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. green beans, trimmed
2 stalks celery, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
-
Cut the beans in half crosswise and then lengthwise (as for French-cut beans).
Place in large saucepan.
Add water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook, covered, until beans are tender.
Drain and return beans to the pot.
