Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, soda and salt.
Cream dry mixture with shortening. Beat eggs.
Add buttermilk and vanilla.
Add to shortening mixture alternately with flour.
Do all mixing by hand.
Chill overnight. Roll out.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
