Old Fashion Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/3 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. milk

Preparation

Grease and flour the bottom of an 8-inch square pan.
Mix ingredients with a spoon until well blended.
Pour into the pan and spread the mixture, which is fairly stiff.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 1/2 hour.
Bake longer if you desire a darker crust.
