Fresh Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. fresh tomatoes, diced
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. fresh chives
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes, lemon juice, salt, onion and sugar.
    Mix well, then stir in chives and pepper.
    Chill several hours, then serve with meat, fish or poultry.
    You may use freeze-dried chives in place of fresh.
    Makes 3 cups.
