Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium red potatoes, boiled in jackets
6 to 8 slices bacon
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. flour
1 or 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. white vinegar
dash of pepper
Preparation

Peel potatoes and slice thin.
Fry bacon slowly.
Lay on paper towel to absorb grease.
Brown onion in bacon grease.
Add flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
Cook over low heat; stirring until smooth.
Remove from heat.
Stir in water and vinegar.
Heat to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 minute.
Cut the bacon into small pieces and add to mixture.
Also stir in potatoes. Remove from heat.
Cover and let stand until ready to serve.
