Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. bran flakes
    1 pt. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. salad oil
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Pour buttermilk over bran flakes. Let soak for 5 minutes.
    Add sugar, eggs, oil and rest of ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Spoon into paper baking cups or well-greased muffin tins.
    (If I have some applesauce, I add 1/2 cup, or orange marmalade.)
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 30 large muffins.
