Poppy Seed Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 oz. poppy seed
    2 Tbsp. almond extract
    4 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Grease and flour 2 tube pans (makes 2 cakes).
    Soak poppy seed and extract in buttermilk overnight.
    Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks.
    Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Blend well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
    Pour 1/2 of mixture into pans.
    Add sugar/cinnamon mix to each pan. Add rest of batter on top to each pan.
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
