Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornbread mix
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    3 stiffly beaten whites
Preparation
    Combine cornbread mix and salt in a 2-quart saucepan. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until very thick, about 3 to 5 minutes.
    Blend 1/2 cup cooked mixture into egg yolks.
    Blend in remaining cooked mixture until smooth.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake in greased round 1 1/2-quart casserole at 350\u00b0
    for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Serve immediately.
