Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 box frozen peas
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 small jar mayonnaise
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Spanish onion
    6 hard-boiled eggs
    6 pieces fried bacon (crisp)
    shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Break up head of lettuce in cake pan.
    Layer frozen peas and water chestnuts.
    Frost with mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese and sugar.
    Layer with sliced onion, chopped eggs and crumbled bacon.
    Top with shredded cheese.
    Cover and set in refrigerator overnight.
