Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries in syrup, completely thawed (2 c.)
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Generously grease bottom only of 13 X 9 cake pan; sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Thoroughly combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows and spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center. Serve warm or cool with ice cream.
