Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. lean round steak
3 small onions
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
2 c. sour cream
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
soy sauce to taste
salt, pepper and flour to taste
Preparation

Cut beef in thinnest possible slices.
Pound in flour, salt and pepper.
Cut into strips, about 3 x 1/2-inch.
Dice onions and fry slowly until soft and just turning yellow.
Then add meat and saute until well seared.
Add tomato paste and enough consomme to just cover.
Add soy sauce to taste.
Simmer until tender.
Transfer to top of double boiler and add sour cream and mushrooms.
Reheat in double boiler when ready to serve.
Serve on rice.
