Plain Flour Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. plain unbleached flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 to 2/3 c. milk
1/4 stick melted butter
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0 to 500\u00b0.
Grease pan.
Combine dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk slowly; mix to smooth consistency.
Knead dough gently on floured surface.
Do not overknead.
Use hand to press out dough to 1/2 to 1-inch thickness.
Cut out with biscuit cutter.
Coat both sides of biscuit with melted butter.
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
