Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 c. applesauce
    4 c. flour
    2 c. pecans
    1 c. raisins
    1/4 c. candied cherries (optional)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add applesauce. Beat in eggs. Sift all dry ingredients. Coat nuts and fruit with 1 cup dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture.
    Mix easily. Stir in rest of dry ingredients.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0.
