Christmas Fragrance - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fresh ginger root, split
    3 sticks cinnamon
    16 whole cloves
    1 tsp. ground allspice
    1 1/2 Tbsp. pickling spice
    2 bay leaves
    1 qt. water
Preparation
    Add dry ingredients to water and simmer to fill your home with the fragrance of Christmas.
    Keep on your stove for a few days, occasionally replenishing the water.
    (Not consumable.)
