Amish Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 eggs, well beaten
    4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Combine sugars; mix to blend.
    Add margarine and oil; beat well.
    Add eggs, mix well.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar and soda.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Form into small balls; dip cookie top into small amount of granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of a glass.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 8 dozen cookies.
