Fluffy 7 Minute Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    dash of salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, syrup and salt in top of double boiler, beating with egg beater until thoroughly mixed.
    Place over rapidly boiling water.
    Beat constantly for 7 minutes or until it stands in peaks.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
    Lemon juice may be added to make it less sweet.
