Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. plain flour
1 unbeaten egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter; add the sugar.
Combine other ingredients. Roll dough into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Mash ball flat with glass bottom that has been dipped in sugar. Place pecan half in center.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes.
