Golden Autumn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. oil
    3 c. coarsely chopped potatoes
    2 c. coarsely chopped rutabaga
    2 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
    1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped carrots
    2 medium chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. sugar
    6 c. water
Preparation
    Brown steak in oil; simmer for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until meat is tender.
    All other ingredients are simmered in with the meat. Vegetables will not get mushy or fall apart due to the vinegar. Remove the bay leaf.
    Serves 6.
