Creme Brulee(Thanksgiving Dinner - Mallory Farms) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 egg yolks
    5 Tbsp. white sugar
    1 qt. coffee cream
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    brown sugar
    1 can peach or pear halves, drained
Preparation
    Beat yolks till thick and lemon colored; gradually add white sugar.
    Scald cream; pour slowly over yolks, stirring constantly. Add vanilla.
    Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole; place in pan of hot water.
    Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
    Chill thoroughly.
    When ready to serve, sprinkle top of casserole with sifted brown sugar, 1/2 inch deep. Place under broiler, leaving door open, to caramelize sugar to form crust.
    Watch carefully as it burns quickly.
    Surround with peach or pear halves, drained.
    Serves 10.
