Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 pt. half and half cream
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar together.
    Add dash of salt.
    Add half and half and cook in double boiler until mixture thickens.
    Strain through sieve.
    Let cool.
    Add whipping cream, vanilla extract and enough milk to fill to line
    of 1 gallon freezer.
