Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Wash and stem berries; set aside 1/2 of the best berries. Crush well the remaining 1/2 berries and bring to a boil in heavy saucepan.
    Blend sugar and cornstarch; add to boiling berries and cook until thick.
    Cool slightly and pour over the raw berries that have been placed in baked pie shell.
    Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
