Sourdough Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk or water
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    1 packet active yeast
    1 1/2 c. Starter
    2 to 3 Tbsp. warm water
    4 to 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Add sugar, shortening and salt.
    Stir to mix thoroughly.
    Dissolve yeast in 2 to 3 tablespoons warm water.
    Let it bubble to ensure it is working.
    Add to milk mixture along with 2 cups of flour.
    Stir and keep adding flour to make a dough that can be handled easily.
    Knead for 5 to 8 minutes, then cut into pieces to fill pans 1/2 full.
    Be sure to grease pans.
    Let rise to twice its size in warm place.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 35 to 45 minutes to a good golden brown.
