Fresh Asparagus Pasta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. olive oil
    3/4 lb. fresh asparagus
    4 large green onions, chopped using white part only
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    2 medium pear tomatoes
    1 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    3/4 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. pitted black olives, cut in wedges
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 lb. pasta, cooked
    Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Cut asparagus and onions into 1-inch diagonal pieces.
    Cut tomatoes lengthwise in eighths.
    Mix 1/2 cup of the chicken broth and the wine together; set aside.
    Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup chicken broth together; set aside.
