Macaroni-Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
    1 lb. pork sausage
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. green pepper
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in 3 quarts boiling salted water for 7 to 8 minutes.
    Drain well.
    Brown sausage; remove and reserve 1/2 sausage.
    Saute onion and green peppers in 2 tablespoons fat. Stir in flour and salt.
    Slowly add milk.
    Cook over medium heat; stir until thick.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese.
    Combine macaroni and sauce; turn into a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Top with 1/2 cup cheese and reserved sausage.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes, or until golden.
    Serves 6.
