Gourmet Souffle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 slices bread
1 or 2 c. diced ham
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (optional)
1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
4 green onions, cut up
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 c. Jack cheese, grated (optional)
5 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

In a 9 x 13-inch pan, place 6 slices of bread, buttered face down in pan, crusts removed.
Add ham, mushrooms, green pepper, green onions and Cheddar and Jack cheeses.
Cover with 6 slices of bread that has been cubed.
It is easier to cube when slightly frozen.
Add eggs, beaten with milk. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered, on cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour until set.
Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
