Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. Ore-Ida frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 stick butter
    minced onion to taste
    salt and pepper to taste
    celery and/or celery salt to taste
Preparation
    Cover potatoes with water and cook until tender.
    Add milk and spices and simmer.
    About 30 minutes before you want to serve the soup, add the stick of butter.
    I sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
