Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. apples, cubed
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
pinch of salt

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg, flour, baking powder, soda, salt, milk and vanilla.
Mix well; fold in cubed apples. Put mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Top with sugar mixture.
