Chocolate Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
4 eggs, separated
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Mix sugar, salt, flour and cocoa well in a medium saucepan. Stir in milk gradually until smooth.
Cook over medium low heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Let stand. Meanwhile, beat egg yolks and add a little of cooked mixture. Blend well, then add egg mixture to the cooked mixture.
Stir until you have the right consistency.
Pour filling into cooled baked pie shell; cover with meringue.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
