Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
8 eggs
4 c. flour (I use self-rising; leave 2 cups out for fruit)
2 boxes raisins
1 lb. pineapple (candied or canned)
1 lb. candied cherries
1 qt. fig preserves
1 qt. pecans
mixed fruit (if desired)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and 2 cups of flour in pan.
Set aside.
Then mix all fruit together; put in other 2 cups of flour and all the spices.
Mix well together.
Then mix all together in one big pan.
You can use tube pans or loaf pans.
It will take 2 tube pans or 4 loaf pans.
Cook at 350\u00b0 for 90 minutes to 2 hours.
