Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head crisp lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 pkg. frozen peas, cooked, cooled and thoroughly drained
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    8 strips bacon, crisply fried, drained and crumbled
Preparation
    Arrange lettuce evenly in bottom of 8 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle celery on top of lettuce, then green pepper, onion and peas.
    Mix mayonnaise with sour cream and spoon over vegetable mixture. Sprinkle sugar over sour cream mixture.
    Sprinkle top with the cheese and bacon.
    Cover tightly with foil, leaving air space between foil and salad.
    Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
    Makes 9 servings.
