Cream Of Wild Rice Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cooked wild rice
4 slices bacon, chopped
4 Tbsp. butter
1 large onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 1/2 c. celery ribs, diced
1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, chopped
3/4 c. flour
6 c. hot chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. half and half
several Tbsp. white wine or dry sherry (optional)
Preparation

Prepare wild rice according to basic directions on package. Saute bacon to extract drippings, then add butter, onion, green pepper, celery and mushrooms.
Continue sauteing until vegetables begin to soften.
Stir in flour.
Slowly add chicken broth, stirring to make a smooth mixture.
