Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
Preparation
    Blend butter into corn syrup; stir in peanut butter, salt and vanilla.
    Mix until creamy.
    Stir in confectioners sugar.
    Turn candy onto pastry board; knead with hands until blended and smooth.
    Add nuts gradually, pressing and kneading into dough. Press candy into greased 8-inch square pan.
    Chill for 1 hour; cut into squares.
    Yield:
    2 pounds.
