Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. fig preserves
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. Wesson oil
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix as you do any other cake.
    Bake in slow oven (250 to 300\u00b0) for 1 1/2 hours.
