Jam Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. butter
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar together and add flour.
    Roll into 1-inch snake and refrigerate.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Brush with beaten egg.
    Sprinkle with sugar and place on cookie sheet.
    Make a dent with your thumb and dab jam into hole.
    Bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
