Ham And Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
3/4 c. shredded American cheese
1 lb. cooked ham, diced
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/4 lb. cabbage, coarsely shredded
1 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Slowly stir in flour until smooth.
Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Add cheese, ham and green pepper to sauce.
