Peach-Praline Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced, peeled fresh or frozen peaches, thawed
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. self-rising flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    light cream (optional)
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven combine peaches, 1 cup sugar, water, cornstarch and cinnamon.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Transfer to a 3-quart rectangular baking dish.
