Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix the butter or margarine, sugars and egg.
    Sift and stir in flour, baking soda and salt making a stiff dough.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown with soft-center.
