Teisen Cymraeg(Ta'Son Kim Rag) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. lard
    1/8 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 c. currants
    xxxx sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Blend in lard as you would for pie crust.
    Whisk eggs and milk together and add to mixture.
    Fold in currants.
    Cover and put in icebox (refrigerate for a few hours).
