Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    juice from 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    4 c. apples, peeled and chopped
    crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. peanuts, crushed
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients in saucepan.
    Cook until thickened. Cool 1 hour.
    Combine apples, pineapple, 1/2 cup nuts and Cool Whip.
    Mix together with cooked, cooled sauce.
    Sprinkle top with remaining nuts.
    Chill and serve.
