Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. cranberries, cut in half
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Beat egg and add shortening, orange juice and hot water.
    Combine with dry ingredients.
    Add nuts and cranberries.
    Bake in 9 x 5-inch greased and floured pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Brush bread top with
    butter.
