Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground round steak
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. rice
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
    1 small jar pimientos
    1 can tomato soup
    salt, pepper and sugar to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat in butter until well cooked.
    Cook rice until done. Thoroughly rinse rice in cold water.
    Cook onions and tomatoes for 20 minutes.
    In a baking dish, layer tomato soup, pimiento, meat, tomatoes and onions and cooked rice; repeat.
    Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
