Aunt Mary'S Red Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. long grain rice
    16 oz. can tomato sauce
    1/2 lb. bacon
    2 to 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 large onion, diced
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    pinch of sugar
Preparation
    Fry bacon and crumble.
    Place all ingredients in rice steamer. Mix to coat rice.
    Cook over steady steam about 45 minutes.
    Do not stir during cooking process.
    Serves 6.
