Syrup Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. cane syrup
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. sour milk
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. butter or oleo (room temperature)
    3 to 4 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add syrup.
    Stir in soda.
    Place baking powder and nutmeg in butter and add egg mixture.
    Add enough flour to make dough stiff enough to handle.
    Roll out dough to a thickness of 1-inch; cut into circles.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
