Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cloves
4 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Shape into balls; roll in sugar.
Place 2-inches apart.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
